will learn to create a beautiful
sashiko placemat
or table runner. Historical samples of
sashiko
will be shown during
class.

- 1/2 - 1 yard of
solid color cotton or
cotton-linen
blend fabric depending on the size you wish
your
table mat/ runner to be.
(Recommendations:
Navy,
Indigo, Chocolate, Gold, Brick Red).
- 1 - 2 skeins of
contrasting Sashiko thread
- Sashiko
needles
- Scissors for
cutting fabric and thread
- Ruler
- Water soluable
or iron-off marking pen (Clover 517 recommended)
- Dressmaker's
carbon paper
