Evergreen Piecemakers
owns Quilt Standards (Racks) that are made available to rent.
These may be rented out to other guilds or to private
parties. The money obtained for their rental is used to pay
for the storage costs of them when they are not in
use.
The following
information outlining the Rental Guidelines
-
Renters must bring at least 2 able bodied persons to pick up Quilt
Standards
-
Renters will need to bring
at least one full size truck, with canopy or good
plastic tarp to tie down truck after it is loaded. If all
equipment is rented it will NOT fit in one
minivan. At least one additional
vehicle is required.
-
Rental Agent for Evergreen Piecemakers will
show the people who come to get the equipment how to assemble the
poles and connectors.
-
Sheets are folded with our Club name and size
showing on the top. Please ask that sheets be refolded with names
and sizes out for easy identification. Connecting PVC pipe pieces
are also stored in appropriate tubs. Please return them to the
same location.
-
One person
picking up the quilt standards will be responsible for signing the
rental agreement. This will include a contact name and phone
number and confirmation of the number of pieces
received.
-
Evergreen Piecemakers agrees to have
a person meet the group at Totem Storage 8838 S 228th
in Kent, WA at a mutually agreeable time. Make sure the pickup
people have accurate directions and the correct time for pickup.
We do have to work within the hours for Totem Storage, which are
currently 7:30AM to 9:30 PM. This is a secure facility and
requires a person with a pass code and key to obtain
access.
-
We would appreciate that you
distribute fliers for our show, when available and if you provide
us with flyers we will do the same for
you.
-
When loading it usually works best to
place long poles in first (8 and 9 foot), then the shorter poles
(6 and 7 foot), then totes, then the quilt rack bases. Then the
load must be secured with a cover, canopy or tarp and rope. It is
the responsibility of the group renting the equipment to properly
secure the load.
-
If small children are brought to the
Totem Storage, they will be required to stay in the vehicle.
Evergreen Piecemakers will not accept any liability for any
children present.
-
Rentals require a security deposit of
the rental fee or $75.00 whichever is less. This should be in the
form of a check that is separate from the rental fee. Evergreen
Piecemakers will hold this deposit until an inventory can be
accomplished on all equipment rented. Evergreen Piecemakers will
attempt to accomplish this with ten
days.
-
The rental fee is due at the time
equipment is picked up at Totem
Storage.
-
