We would like to thank all
the guild members who helped put together the 2005 raffle quilt.
There were many who variously paper—pieced the arcs, helped to
assemble the locks and appliqué the border, all of which resulted in
a quilt which we think will be attractive to raffle ticket
buyers. Thanks also to Cindy Roth
for the beautiful machine quilting, which not only gives a great
look to the quilt, but also provides continuing pleasant surprises
upon closer examination

In order to raise money
for Guild expenses, a raffle quilt is made each year.
Volunteers head up the Raffle Quilt Committee, who then select the
pattern, colors, fabrics, quilting design, etc. Most often,
kits are distributed and members make a block or two and turn
them in to the Committee. We try to stay 2 years ahead in
planning, as making a quality quilt takes time. Each
member of the Guild is expected to either purchase or
sell 10 $1.00 raffle tickets each
year. |
