Rita will do a one day workshop for us on Sawtooth Quilts using her tubular strip assembly technique. Here is her description:
Sawtooth Patterns: One, Two or Three Days / Project Oriented
Confident Beginner-Advanced
Rita will guide you through her process to make this popular shape any size including
miniature without paper, templates, waste or problems with the bias. Participants develop
stratas and checkerboards in different colorways and combine them to develop their own quilt
with a unique ethnic look and feel. Click here to see the workshop samples.
Because this class is often taught as a 2-3 day class I'm putting quite a challenge in front of us. Please look at the examples and the workshop homework PDF and please let me know if you are interested in taking the workshop on Monday the 27th. For it to be a successful class for you, Rita recommends doing homework to prepare your strata. I've attached the homework PDF so you can see what you'd need to get done.
